VA SMILE Mental Health Services

Recognizing the many barriers people face when accessing mental health care especially people of color, we at VA SMILE Foundation are on a mission to provide a supportive, safe, and affordable space for individuals to access mental health care and improve their quality of life. We believe that mental health care is a right, not a privilege, and we are here to empower our community to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.especially due to financial constraints, we launched this program to bridge the gap. Our commitment is rooted in making mental health support more accessible and equitable, regardless of an individual's financial circumstances. We understand that untreated mental health concerns can impact every area of life, from relationships and work to overall well-being. This program was created to ensure that cost is no longer a barrier to receiving essential mental health care.



Program Benefits

    Our program includes a range of services, from counseling and therapy to case management, linking clients with housing, healthcare, and other essential community resources. This holistic approach enhances well-being beyond mental health alone.

            By addressing mental health concerns and life challenges, clients experience improvements in their daily lives including better emotional resilience, stronger relationships, and increased productivity.


  • Promoting Mental Health Awareness
    Our program fosters mental health awareness within the community, helping to reduce stigma and encourage open discussions about mental health.

WHAT WE dO

At VA SMILE Foundation we provide a variety of mental health outpatient services for adults including mental health screenings, assessments,  individual and group therapy via telehealth.

Mental health evaluation
​Mental health services are supervised by a licensed mental health professional. They include a clinical assessment and professional recommendations. Our therapists use the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5TR) to guide their understanding and diagnosis of mental health disorders in individuals.
